Former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has reached a one-year agreement with the Raiders, a source confirmed to NBC Sports California's Scott Bair.

ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the news Tuesday.

The 37-year-old enters his 17th season and has 11 Pro-Bowl and two All-Pro selections.

Witten played the entirety of his career with Dallas and took a break from football in 2018. Well, from the playing side.

He spent a season as an analyst on ESPN's "Monday Night Football," where he admitted he received a lot of criticism. But you try living in the shadow of former Dallas quarterback-turned CBS Sports analyst Tony Romo, who can tell you which play is about to happen.

We're still not sure how he does it.

Nonetheless, Witten returned to playing 2019, once again with the Cowboys where he was drafted in 2003.

He finished his campaign with 63 receptions for 529 yards and four touchdowns last season after coming out of retirement.

Across those 16 seasons, Witten totaled 72 touchdowns, 12,977 yards and a 71.3 percent catch percentage.

It appears he feels he has plenty of gas left in the tank, and Witten has said he wanted to give it at least another season.
