By Linta's quote, it doesn't sound like his client is about to take a pay cut.Besides, 6.5 million of his 11-million base salary for 2012 is already reportedly guaranteed, with the remaining 4.5 million becoming guaranteed on March 17if he is still on the roster on that date.

The Raiders cutting Wimbley before that day would save them between 1.9 million and 4.5 million for 2012 cap purposes, depending on prorations, and 17.5 million going forward.
