Report: Kings in talks to move to Virginia

Reports surfaced on Thursday morning which say a consortium of of sports and entertainment companies are working to bring the NBA's Sacramento Kings to Virginia Beach, VA.The Virginian-Pilot is reporting a top business executive with the consortium will make a public presentation to the Virginia Beach city council next Tuesday. Discussions are currently centering around the construction of an 18,000-seat arena near the ocean front, according to the report. The Virginian-Pilot, sourcing Inside Business, quotes George Maloof Jr., whose family owns the Kings, as saying "We have been approached by several cities over several years about moving the Kings, and we will not comment other than that."Inside Business is reporting the Maloofs are to announce Wednesday that they are intending on moving the team to Virginia Beach.
