Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval told Comcast SportsNet's Scott Reiss Wednesday that he plans on returning to the team next Tuesday, when San Francisco opens a road series in Arizona.

Sandoval has been out since April 30 with a fractured hamate bone in his right wrist. He hit a home run for Triple-A Fresno on Tuesday, following two games with Single-A San Jose.

Sandoval had surgery on May 3.

Below is a transcript of Sandoval's conversation with Scott Reiss:

Scott Reiss: Starting to get back in shape?Pablo Sandoval: Yeah, I'm excited. My first game in Triple-A I felt so great at home plate. I'm doing things I haven't done in a month.Reiss: You feel like a couple more games now, you can smell it, you are getting closer?Sandoval: Yeah right handed I don't have a problem. Right handed, there is no problem with the hands. Left handed, I feel a little weak. I need to work on my left-handed swing.Reiss: Boch says you head into Salt Lake City this weekend, you get the sense that if that goes well you might be back up with the Giants next week?Sandoval: We'll see how this weekend goes with my hands. I'll probably going to be back with the team in Arizona, that was the plan here. My goal is to be with the team.
