SAN JOSEThe SaberCats today announced the additions of OL Adam Juratovac, K Juan Gamboa, WR Marcus Everett and DB Damon Jenkins. The team also announced Juratovac has been placed on the refused to report list while WR Nichiren Flowers and DB Jamario ONeal have been placed on the physically unable to perform list.Adam got experience with a championship team last season with Spokane, while Marcus and Juan showed us what they can do in a recent tryout and we are happy to be adding them to our roster, said OwnerHead Coach Darren Arbet.OL ADAM JURATOVACJuratovac (6-3, 315) played for the Spokane Shock during the 2010 season. Prior to his time there, Juratovac played four seasons for Idaho, playing in 41 games (24 starts) at right guard for the Vandals.A graduate of Henry M. Gunn (CA) High School, he earned All-CIF Central Coast in his final two years and received Mercury News offensive linesman honorable mention his senior year.K JUAN GAMBOAIn four seasons at Sacramento State, Gamboa (5-8, 195) served as the teams place kicker his entire career with the Hornets. During his collegiate career, Gamboa connected on 36 field goals on 56 attempts (64.3), while accounting for over 200 points. As a senior he averaged 59.0 yards per kickoff, notching 12 touchbacks.A graduate of Bellarmine Prep in San Jose, he ranked as the second-best kicker in the country by SuperPrep and the sixth-best by Rivals.com. Gamboa made all 30 of his extra points as a senior and also connected on a career-long 55-yard field goal. He earned all-league and all-state honors as a junior and senior and was also named All-America after each season.WR MARCUS EVERETTEverett (6-1, 200) played four seasons for UCLA, proving to be a consistent contributor for the Bruins. During five seasons, he totaled 97 receptions for 1,235 yards and seven touchdowns. His best season came as a redshirt sophomore, where he played in 13 contests (eight starts) and led the team in receiving yards (450) while finishing second in receptions (31). As a senior at Chaminade (CA) Prep, Everett earned second-team All-CIF honors as a senior after setting a school single-season record 70 catches for 1,368 yards and 16 touchdowns. On defense, he notched 83 tackles, six interceptions and two sacks.DB DAMON JENKINSJenkins (5-11, 195) was one of the defensive leaders at Fresno State in 2006 and 2007. In 37 games for the Bulldogs, Jenkins totaled 94 tackles (60 solo), three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and 16 passes defensed.A former high school teammate of Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew at De La Salle (CA) High School, Jenkins won 138 consecutive games during his tenure. He was rated as one of the top cornerbacks in the nation as a senior.
