The Sharks have signed unrestricted free agent forward Andrew Murray to a one-year, two-way contract the club announced on Tuesday.

Murray, 29, scored four goals and added four assists in 29 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets last season while suffering through knee and lower body injuries that limited his availability.

He will make 575,000 this season according to CapGeek.com, if he lands on the NHL roster.

In 181 career NHL games over four seasons, all with Columbus, the 6-2, 210-pound Murray has 36 points (23 goals, 13 assists) and 32 penalty minutes.

A native of Selkirk, Manitoba, Murray was originally drafted in the eighth round by the Blue Jackets in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
