ANAHEIMCount Sharks defenseman Brent Burns among the many who are glad Ducks forward Jason Blake is returning from a serious and freakish injury.
On Oct. 14 at Honda Center, Burns stepped on Blake just after a faceoff, causing a deep cut above Blakes left wrist. Blake has missed the last 34 games, but will return on Wednesday night against the Sharks.
You feel bad when stuff happens like that. Im glad he came back; I know hes been through a lot, Burns said on Wednesday morning. Obviously, when a guy has been through a lot like that, theres something special about him to get through things that can be mentally hard.

"Its good to see.
Burns went looking for Blake in the Ducks locker room after the game, but Blake was headed to an ambulance at that point. Burns managed to race to the ambulance and have a few words with Blake before it pulled out of the arena, though.
Blake doesnt have any hard feelings, telling the Orange County Registers Eric Stephens:
"I pretty much forgot about it. Stuff happens in hockey. ... I have the utmost respect for him."
