Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports the deal is worth 1.8 million per season.

Winnik came to San Jose from the Avalanche in the trade that sent Jamie McGinn to Colorado on Feb. 27. San Jose also received TJ Galiardi in the deal. Galiardi is staying with the Sharks after signing a one-year deal on July 12. Winnik appeared in 84 regular-season games between the Avalanche (63) and Sharks (21) last season, tallying eight goals and 15 assists all told.
Interestingly, the Ducks chose a picture of Winnik as a member of the Avalanche when they announced the trade on Friday morning.
