NHL, union briefly resume labor talks Monday

Talks aimed at ending the 65-day NHL lockout resumed Monday night in Manhattan but lasted less than two hours.The league and NHLPA last met on Nov. 11. Both sides will speak on Tuesday morning to resume CBA negotiations that night.Mondays session began shortly after 7 p.m. and ended around 8:45 p.m.We are going to think about what was said and think about our next step, union executive director Donald Fehr told reporters.Deputy league commissioner Bill Daly he was frustrated, adding he has not seen a full proposal from the union with its positions clearly defined on all topics.
