BOX SCORE

In a game that featured a combined 82 penalty minutes, the Sharks fell to the Ducks 3-2 in overtime in the preseason finale Sunday in Anaheim.

Corey Perry's goal 1:13 into overtime was the difference.

Joonas Donskoi got the Sharks on the board midway through the first period with a nifty goal at the 9:05 mark.

Offseason acquisition David Schlemko beat Ducks goalie Jonathan Bernier on a power play at the 10:55 mark in the second period to give the Sharks a 2-0 advantage.

But San Jose couldn't hold on to the lead. Right before the end of the second period, Jakob Silfverberg beat Sharks goalie Aaron Dell to get Anaheim on the scoresheet.

Midway through the third period, Silfverberg tied the game with an unassisted goal.

In his final tune-up for the regular season, Dell stopped 22 of 25 shots.

The Sharks begin defense of their Western Conference crown on Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Kings at the SAP Center.
