Sharks recall Wingels from Worcester

The Sharks announced Thursday that they have recalled forwardTommy Wingels from the Worcester Sharks.
Wingels is second on Worcester in scoring and first in goals, posting 13 goals, eight assists for 21 points in 29 games.
In eight career NHL games, all with San Jose, Wingels has posted one assist and four penalty minutes.
Sharks head coach Todd McLellan on Wingels:

He has played extremely well down there. Ive been told that he is one of the best players in the American League, and thats exciting to know that he can come up and be that guy that we can count on for some big shifts especially after three games in four nights. Theres a good chance we will see him tonight."

Wingels was originally selected by San Jose in the sixth round (177th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
