Andrew Luck finished second in the Heisman Trophy award voting behind Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.Newton, who was plagued by a mid-season NCAA investigation into his eligibility after allegations surfaced of his father accepting money on his behalf, finished with 2,263 points to Luck's 1079.Luck broke John Elway's single-season record with 28 touchdown passes and threw for 3,051 yards. He also rushed for 438 yards and three scores.With both Andrew Luck and Toby Gerhart named Heisman finalists in the last two years, Stanford joins USC, Oklahoma, Miami, Ohio State, Florida State and Notre Dame as the only programs to have different players finish in the top four in successive seasons in the last 25 years.With Luck finishing second in the voting, Stanford becomes the first school since Purdue in 1968 and 1969 to have two different players finish second in the voting in successive years.
