Since 2002, Sacramento Kings fans have become accustomed to the silky smooth voice of Scott Moak chiming over through the PA system at both Arco Arena and Golden 1 Center.

As of Tuesday evening, Moak’s position with the franchise was in doubt, after he was relieved of his duties as a Vice President of Game Entertainment, Production and Content with the Kings.

Thursday afternoon, Moak turned to social media to announce that he will return next season as the voice of Golden 1 Center.

“It was always our intention to have Scott continue as our PA announcer and we are pleased that he will remain the voice of the Kings,” the Kings organization said via a prepared statement.

Prior to his role as the VP of Game Entertainment, Moak served as the team’s Vice President of Community Impact and Executive Director of the Sacramento Kings Foundation from 2014-2017.
