Stanford coach Johnny Dawkins is about 850 wins shy of Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, who won his 903rd game on Tuesday. The win against Michigan State made Krzyzewski the all-time winningest coach in Division I college basketball history.Dawkins had a little something to do with those wins, having played under Krzyzewski in the mid-1980s and culminating a great career by winning the Naismith award.After Stanford took care of Colorado State 64-52 on Tuesday at Maples, Dawkins was asked what he thought of Krzyzewski and the record he had just set.Im very happy for him, having been part of that family for such a long time, Dawkins said. He always says Be careful of what bus you get on. I got on the best bus. I got on his bus. He took us to some amazing places.And so we all were very fortunate to be part of what we see happening right now. I think the whole Duke family is sharing in the joy hes accomplished.
