Bob Myers laughs as he reveals Pat McCaw-referee Summer League story

Pat McCaw thrived at Summer League last month.

He averaged 20 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists over five games.

He was the Warriors' best player and he acted like it.

"I was watching from the court one game and he didn't get a call and the referees," Warriors GM Bob Myers explained on 95.7 The Game. "Most of these guys are referees in training, and he (McCaw) was running down the floor and he says, 'Come on, man. I played in the Finals.' And the ref was great.

"The ref looks at him and he goes, 'Congratulations' (laughter). What a good response."

McCaw definitely voiced his feelings during the Warriors' first game in Las Vegas:

McCaw -- who the Warriors acquired in the 2016 draft by paying Milwaukee $2.4 million for his rights -- started 20 games last season.

In Game 2 against the Blazers, he registered nine points and five rebounds.

In Game 3 against the Blazers, he racked up 11 points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block.

In Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs, the 21-year old recorded 18 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals.

In Game 5 of the NBA Finals, he contributed by scoring six points.

"The nickname for Pat -- the players call him, 'P-Nice,' because he's got this never-wavering confidence," Myers revealed. "The worst kind of rookie comes in and acts like they're better and doesn't back it up. But Pat -- really from Day 1 -- he earned the respect of the guys because he can play.

"And it's a kind of innocent confidence. It doesn't bother anybody ... we expect big things out of him this year."

He will be a restricted free agent next summer...
