Cavs' Lue responds to NBA announcing missed calls in Warriors game

A few hours after the NBA announced that referees missed two calls late in the Cavaliers' Christmas Day win over the Warriors, one head coach has responded.

Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue was asked the NBA's ruling prior to his team's game in Detroit on Monday night.

"There's a lot of fouls throughout the course of the game that don't get called. It's a tough game to officiate -- the players we have, the way guys can draw fouls and contact. And so that was an incidental play at the end of the game. You don't want the game decided on two free throws at the end of the game. I didn't see (the foul). There wasn't much contact to me. But to me, you come back and say that you made a mistake in the last two minutes of the game, I mean, that's on them," Lue said, according to ESPN.

According to the NBA, LeBron James should have been assessed a technical foul for hanging on the rim after a dunk with 1:43 remaining in the game.

"James (CLE) deliberately hangs on the rim after the dunk," the report states.

And with the Warriors trailing by one with 3.1 seconds left, Richard Jefferson got away with fouling Kevin Durant.

"LATR shows Jefferson (CLE) makes foot to foot contact with Durant (GSW) that affects his SQBR," the report says.

If a foul had been assessed to Jefferson, Durant would have been awarded two free throws. Instead, time expired with Durant on the ground and the Cavs the victors.
