Draymond Green knows why Bob Myers won't ‘ever get the right amount of credit'

During last year's Warriors championship parade, Draymond Green delivered arguably the most memorable on-stage comment.

"Can somebody give Bob some fu**ing credit?! ... Bob is definitely the best GM in the league and he just sit back; don't want no credit."

On Friday, Draymond was a guest on The Jim Rome Podcast, and talked about Bob Myers extensively.

"I don't think he gets the credit he deserves and I think that's for a number of reasons," Draymond explained. "When you have great players -- people are always gonna give them credit, then it goes to the coaching staff.

"The guy you see the least will always get the least amount of credit. Bob is the guy that everyone sees the least amount ... Bob is the type of guy where he's not gonna go flaunting about himself. He's not gonna try to make everyone understand what he's done and what he's doing on a daily basis.

"And that's who he is, and that's part of the reason that he's had the success that he's had. But, I don't think he gets the right amount of credit -- I don't think he'll ever get the right amount of credit."

For Draymond, his relationship with Myers goes way beyond basketball.

"One of the best guys I've ever been around -- has helped me so much in my life in general," Draymond said. "A guy who is a great friend of mine -- someone that I really appreciate and am thankful for the relationship that we've built.

"Someone that I really trust and love to get advice from -- it's not advice about basketball ... this is a guy who I get advice from with life. And I'm so thankful for him being in my life. One of the best people you'll ever meet."

Myers was named NBA Executive of the Year in 2015 and 2017.
