PORTLAND – With the clock ticking toward noon Tuesday, seven hours before tipoff, Draymond Green was the last Warrior to leave the floor after team shootaround at Moda Center.
He was searching for the missing element of his game.

“I would say I’m in a slump right now,” Green told CSNBayArea.com. “Obviously, with only three games in, it’s hard to be in a slump. But my shot doesn’t feel good.”
It hasn’t looked good either. Green, a career 44-percent shooter, is shooting 36.4 percent (12-of-33) from the field. A career 34.2-percent shooter beyond the arc, he is at 27.3 (3-of-11). He launched a 3-pointer Sunday at Phoenix that was ghastly, missing the rim by several inches.
Though Green leads the Warriors in rebounds and assists, he clearly realizes he also has to make shots to keep defenses honest. So there he was, putting up extra shots from various spots around the 3-point arc and also shooting extra free throws.

Though he’s not deeply concerned with early-season offensive stats, Green concedes his shot requires a fix.
“In order for my shot to feel good, I’ve got to shoot, shoot and shoot,” he said. “Just put in extra time to get there.”
