GALLERY: Warriors beat Pelicans in Game 4, win series
The Warriors faced off with New Orleans in Game 4 at Smoothie King Arena. They entered the game with a 3-0 series lead.
Winning the first
Draymond Green got the best of Anthony Davis in the first quarter. Green led the Warriors with 13 points in the first 12 minutes and outscored Davis, who ended the quarter with 11. The Warriors went on a 10-2 run to end the first quarter to lead the Pelicans 31-24.
The Warriors controlled the second quarter and took a 67-54 advantage into halftime. Stephen Curry finished the first half with 20 points.
Outworking the opponent
Draymond Green scored 20 points, collected six rebounds and dished five assists in the first half to help build the Warriors' lead.
The Warriors went on a 16-2 run midway through the third quarter and ended the quarter with a 88-67 lead.
Closing them out
The Pelicans cut the Warriors lead to as little as seven, but Stephen Curry was too much as he scored 39 points and had nine assists and eight rebounds in the 109-98 win.
With their 109-98 win, the Warriors swept the Pelicans and advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. They will face either the Blazers or the Grizzlies.
With 39 points, Stephen Curry is now one of three players in Warriors history to have consecutive 35-plus point games on the road in the postseason (Rick Barry, Wilt Chamberlain).
