GALLERY: Warriors take Game 3 against Pelicans in OT
Taking the floor
Stephen Curry jogs on to the court as the Warriors prepare to face the Pelicans in Game 3 at the Smoothie King Arena.
The Warriors got off to a quick start against the Pelicans and led 17-9 after Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry hit five threes.
The Pelicans rallied back to take a 26-25 lead at the end of the first quarter.
New Orleans took over the second quarter and went on a 19-0 run and went into halftime with a 63-52 advantage.
Unable to fight back
The Warriors made runs in the third, but the Pelicans ultimately continued to pull away and took a 89-69 lead into the fourth quarter.
Start of comeback
Steve Kerr inserted his small ball lineup when things looked bleak midway through the the fourth and the Warriors started to get back in it. They cut a 20-point deficit to 10 and trailed 103-93 with just over three minutes to go.
The Pelicans led by just three with eight seconds to go and Stephen Curry nailed a three-pointer from the left corner to tie the game up at 108 and send it to overtime.
Closing it out
The Warriors controlled overtime and were able to withstand a final push from the Pelicans to win 123-119.
