The Warriors played well enough Monday night to open the fourth quarter with a 33-point lead and all five starters on the bench.
The reserves took over against the profoundly deficient Pacers and secured a four-game road trip sweep, while extending the overall win streak to eight with a 120-83 victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.
Five Warriors scored in double figures, led by Klay Thompson with 25 points. Stephen Curry put in 22, Kevin Durant 14 and Draymond Green 10. Ian Clark came off the bench to add 10.
The Warriors (12-2) reached the 30-assist mark for the eight consecutive game, tying a franchise record set last season.
Golden State held Indiana (7-8) – without All-Star forward Paul George, starting center Myles Turner and starting shooting guard C.J. Miles – to 32-percent shooting.
As good as Thompson and Curry were – shooting a combined 17-of-29, including 6-of-16 from 3-point range – Green earns the honor for his comprehensively potent performance.
Green’s line: 10 points (4-of-7 from the field, 0-of-2 beyond the arc, 2-of-2 from the line), nine rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and two steals. He played 29 minutes and was plus-32.
After a Kevin Seraphin layup pulled the Pacers within four (19-15) with 3:34 left in the first quarter, the Warriors went on a 19-4 run in less than three minutes, taking a 34-19 lead with 3:37 seconds left in the quarter.
Indiana got no closer than 10 after that. The Warriors led by as much as 21 in the second quarter and 33 in the third.
