While Kevin Durant doesn't get to officially put on a Warriors jersey for a game until October, he is getting a chance to play with two of his new teammates in Rio.
Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are playing with each other as they go for the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
For Thompson, he believes the reps he's getting with the 2014 NBA MVP are benefiting him.

"It definitely helps," Thompson told SiriusXM NBA Radio. "I'm getting a feel for his game, how hard of a worker he is when the cameras aren't on and just getting to know him personally. It's been a lot of fun. Kevin's a great guy. He just loves to play basketball and that's why I think he joined us. He just wants to win and just wants to have fun too. And we've got a great thing going in The Bay and we sold him on that."
Last season, whenever the Warriors were on the road, fans showed up early to the arena to watch them warm up. Thompson expects much of the same thing this season, but he says he's looking forward to it.
"I don't think just a few people took notice, the whole world did and it's going to be a zoo next year everywhere we go. It's a situation we all embrace because not a lot of players get to experience that, so you've got to enjoy every game even though it's a long 82-game season," Thompson said.
Thompson, Durant, Green and the Warriors open the regular season on October 25 against the Spurs at Oracle.
