For the past six years, Hall of Famer Jerry West has served as a special consultant for the Warriors. His time with Golden State has reportedly come to an end.

West will leave the Warriors and join the Clippers in a similar role, according to multiple reports.

"Jerry has been an incredible asset to our organization. We would have loved for him to remain with our franchise, but we respect his decision. He's earned that right," Warriors owner Joe Lacob told Marc Stein of ESPN.

Since West joined the Warriors after the 2010-11 season, the Warriors have gone 328-158, including winning the NBA Finals twice.

Sports Illustrated was first to report the news.
