Steve Kerr crushes Warriors for ‘pathetic effort' against Pacers

The Warriors lost 126-106 to the Pacers on Thursday night in Indiana.

Moments after the 20-point loss, Steve Kerr aired out the team when speaking to reporters.

"I think just caring. Caring in general was the main problem," Kerr said when asked if the Warriors' defense was the problem.

Where exactly did Kerr see the lack of caring?

"Just trying, you know, cutting hard, driving, maybe boxing out once in a while. Just, in general, it's hard to win an NBA game if you don't put forth an effort at all," Kerr said.

Kerr was then asked if he was mad.

"Yeah, I'm mad. I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed. I know this game doesn't mean anything in the seeding. The playoff start next week. It was an embarrassing effort, a pathetic effort," Kerr said.

Shaun Livingston was asked about Kerr's comments a few minutes later.

"He's the head coach and he has a right to do that. He sat there the whole game and watched what was right in front of him. We gotta be better," Livingston said.

Kerr apparently lit into the players in the locker room. Asked if that's the angriest he's seen Kerr this season, Livingston said 'Yeah, for sure."

The Warriors have three games remaining in the regular season. They currently sit at 57-22.
