Warriors stifle Bucks in fourth quarter, open road trip with win
STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT
Faced with the prospect of blowing another double-digit lead, the Warriors turned to Kevin Durant and their defense in the fourth quarter Friday night came away with a 108-94 win over the Bucks in Milwaukee.
Durant scored a game-high 26 points, including 5 on back-to-back possessions inside the final three minutes to put the game away. The Warriors during their fourth-quarter comeback limited the Bucks to 12 points on 5-of-20 shooting.
Draymond Green totaled 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Klay Thompson put in 12 points, but his streak of consecutive games with at least one 3-pointer was snapped at 95.
The Warriors (34-9) got a lift from Kevon Looney, who contributed nine points and eight assists.

Durant started the game in takeover mode, carried the Warriors for a time and made big plays late. Looney deserves mention, for he did a wonderful job off the bench.
Durant’s line: 26 points (12-of-20 shooting from the field, 2-of-6 from deep, 0-of-2 from the line), six rebounds, six assists and two steals. He played 36 minutes and finished plus-12.
Looney’s line: 9 points (3-of-3 from the field, 3-of-4 from the linex), eight rebounds, three assists and one block. He played 23 minutes and finished plus-16.
Trailing Milwaukee 82-80 after three quarters, the Warriors opened the fourth with a 14-4 burst to take a 94-86 lead on a Pat McCaw layup with 3:58 remaining.
The Bucks got as close as four over the final minutes before the Warriors closed it out.
Warriors: F Omri Casspi (back soreness) was listed as questionable and declared out prior to tipoff. G Stephen Curry (R ankle sprain) was listed as out.
Bucks: F Jabari Parker (L knee surgery rehab) and F Mirza Teletovic (pulmonary emboli) were listed as out.
The Warriors left Wisconsin immediately after the game for Toronto, where on Saturday they face the Raptors at Air Canada Centre. Coverage on NBC Sports Bay Area begins at 3:30, with tipoff scheduled for 4:35.
