The Warriors (2-1) were handed their first loss of the season Sunday, dropping a 100-98 decision to the Nuggets in Denver. The Suns were in Denver one night earlier and were blown out, losing 119-91.

While Thompson has struggled on offense (35.6 percent from the field, 12.5 percent from deep), Booker is off to a solid start, shooting 50.0 percent from the field, 43.8 percent beyond the arc.

ROTATION OUTLOOK

Warriors
Though Warriors coach Steve Kerr indicated there will be nights when Jonas Jerebko doesn’t play, this should not be one of them. He’s a good matchup with Anderson. ... Jordan Bell got a brief stint on Sunday, playing his first meaningful minutes, but remains on the edge of the rotation. He likely won’t see action unless dictated by matchups.

Suns
First-year coach Igor Kokoskov has been using forwards T.J. Warren and Josh Jackson off the bench. How much he uses them is influenced by whether Anderson is making shots or being exploited on defense. ... Veteran big man Tyson Chandler is back in the rotation, providing relief for Ayton. ... Rookie small forward Mikal Bridges played well on Saturday and could be seeing an increase in minutes off the bench. ... Jamal Crawford’s desire to play another season was granted by the Suns. He’s still learning the system, but there no doubt what he’ll do if called upon: He’s shooting.
