Warriors waive two, roster now at 14

The Warriors trimmed their roster down to 14 players onWednesday, waiving Edwin Ubiles and Tommy Mitchell.Those moves would seem to indicate that Chris Wright, a6-foot-8 power forward from Dayton, has a good chance of being on the Warriorsopening night roster.Ubiles is a 6-foot-6 swingman who had played five games thisseason for the Dakota Wizards. Mitchell was a point guard who, like Ubiles,attended Siena.Wright has impressed the Warriors decision-makers thisseason with his athleticism and work ethic. He had six points and threerebounds in 11 minutes on Tuesday night against the Kings.The Warriors have 11 players with guaranteed contracts:Stephen Curry, Charles Jenkins, Monta Ellis, Klay Thompson, Dorell Wright,Brandon Rush, David Lee, Ekpe Udoh, Andris Biedrins and Kwame Brown and JeremyTyler. They have three players with non-guarantees: Ish Smith, Dominic McGuireand Wright.
