Yankees GM Cashman: With Sale, Red Sox are the Warriors of baseball

On Tuesday, the Red Sox acquired left-handed pitcher Chris Sale in a blockbuster trade with the White Sox.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman let his feelings about the deal be known:

In July, the Warriors made the biggest splash in the offseason by signing Kevin Durant in free agency.

Coming off a 73-win campaign and second straight trip to the NBA Finals, the Warriors are 18-3 through 21 games this season.

The Red Sox won the AL East in 2016, but were swept in the ALDS by the Indians.

Sale joins a rotation that includes David Price and Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello.

Right fielder Mookie Betts finished runner-up to Mike Trout for the AL MVP.
