"He comes over early, and he just couldn't get shots up," said C's coach Doc Rivers. "When Ray pulls himself out, then his ankle is really bothering him."
It is the same ankle Allen twisted against the Los Angeles Clippers last week.
Rivers believes the injury became worst with the number of games that followed.
Without Allen, the C's will start Mickael Pietrus.
