Benigno: Jets set Sanchez up to fail

Joe Benigno, radio host on WFAN in New York joins Felger and Mazz to discuss the reasoning behind the Jets' struggles.

Felger wondered if the injury bug that cost the Jets the services of Darrelle Revis and Santonio Holmes is responsible for sabotaging the season.

"They don't look like they're in good shape, they don't look like they're going in the right direction and I ask you, are they in this place because of injuries?

"I think this was a lack of personnel," said Benigno. The GM Mike Tannenbaum did a terrible job with this team. There's not a lot of offensive weapons on this football team. They really put this offense together, brutally. Almost to a point where they set Sanchez up to fail."

Benigno still believes Tim Tebow will be the starting quarterback, but with the injuries the Jets have suffered, it's hard to see any quarterback succeeding in the situation Sanchez finds himself in.
