Bergeron: No need to make trades now

BOSTON -- Whenever a promising team goes into an early-season skid like the 3-7 Bruins have, trade rumors are inevitable.

But the defending Stanley Cup Champions don't believe they need to shake things up just yet.

"I feel very confident with the team we have," said Bruins center Patrice Bergeron on Sunday at the TD Garden, following Saturday night's 4-2 loss in Montreal. "But that's the way it is. When things are not going well, those rumors start kicking in. So it's about us, as a team, to do the job to not let that happen.

"We don't want to get into trades," said Bergeron. "It's up to us. It's not up to anyone else but us."
