Bill James: Dwight Evans is a Hall of Famer

Bill James: Dwight Evans is a Hall of Famer

A little over a year ago, Mike Giardi and I -- Mike did it first, on TV, then I chimed in on the Web -- made a Hall of Fame case for Dwight Evans. The video is out of our system so I can't link to it, but my story is still around. I never thought it would really convince anyone who doesn't think Dewey's a Hall of Famer, but I believed, and believe, that there's a Evans-to-Cooperstown case to be made.

So you can imagine my delight (and Mike's, too) when none other than Bill James made a far more detailed argument in Evans' behalf on grantland.com, with the conclusion: "I think Dwight Evans is a Hall of Famer."

Still not going to happen . . . probably. But, hey, people listen when Bill James talks.

Injury won't stop Brady in the kitchen on Thanksgiving

Tom Brady was back at practice Thanksgiving morning despite an Achilles' injury that kept him out of Wednesday session.

TB12 was also playing hurt in the kitchen later Thursday as he posted a photo of him preparing Thanksgiving biscuits for his holiday feast.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I wanted to say how much I love and appreciate you all for the support you have given me....

Brady's wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, also took to social media to post photos of the biscuit master and family jumping for joy to celebrate Turkey Day. Tom's rocking the Uggs of course, but watch that sore Achilles'!
