Bobby Valentine sounds off

Red Sox GM Ben Cherington announced John Farrell as the team's next skipper on Tuesday.
Former Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine sat down with NBC's Bob Costas, looking to clear the air about his time with the team.
During the interview, Valentine threw Red Sox David Ortiz under the bus by saying that Ortiz decided not to play the rest of the season when he realized that the team didn't have a chance at a postseason run.
CSNNE's Red Sox Insider Sean McAdam said that Bobby V is just "recasting what happened" during the season to paint himself in a better light.
