Bruins receive their championship rings

Check out that bling.

The Bruins received their championship rings at the Boston Harbor Hotel Tuesday night, but even though the event took place at night -- sunglasses were probably still necessary.

There were 505 rings -- some with more than 300 diamonds on them -- that dazzled the Bruins' organization, and left just about everyone at the event with the mouths wide open.

"I was sitting with Bergy Patrice Bergeron and Z Zdeno Chara," former Bruin Mark Recchi said. "We just kind of looked at each other like, 'Can you believe this?' It's unbelievable . . . it's amazing what this turned out to be. I'm going to wear this proudly for a long time."

It was a night well-deserved for all members of the Bruins team, and one that they'll remember forever. They get their rings Tuesday, and raise their banner on Thursday. Not a bad week, huh?

"Everyone got really excited about it," Brad Marchand said. "Guys were laughing and joking around and just it's such a happy time. Everyone is very excited about it all and we're all just very happy to be here."
