BruinsIslanders: 5 from the Third

CSNNE.comBOSTONHere are five thoughts from the third period with the Bruins holding on to beat the Islanders by a 3-2 score after 60 minutes of play at TD Garden.1)Chris Kelly pushed up to center between Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton in the third period. Im sure it is to send a message to David Krejci as hes basically slept through the last two games, and its also giving Mike Felger heart palpitations given how much disdain he has for Kellys game. Love trying different combinations as a message with nothing to lose at this point. Krejci returned to Lucic and Horton later on in the period. 2)Can you call a penalty for body-slamming? Thats what Johnny Boychuk did to John Tavares after he felt like he was cross-checked up high late in the third period. You dont see the mild-mannered Boychuk respond like that very often, but hes getting his playoff mean streak going.3)Its becoming a lock that the Bruins Fan of the Game every night is now a baby dressed up in Bs gear. Lock that down if youre attending a game and want a free pizza out of it.4)Three blocked shots and four shots on net along with an assist for Tomas Kaberle, but the power play was a mess tonight. A good deal of that is going to be Kaberles responsibility tonight and in the playoffs.5)One shot for Bostons top line of LucicHortonKrejci tonight. Good of them to show up.
