Here are five things I noticed from last nights 2-1 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators in the Bruins' first exhibition game at Scotiabank Place, starting with an up-and-coming defenseman:
Matt Bartkowski is making a strong push for a potential spot among Bostons top seven defensemen with a strong game on Wednesday. Good offensive instincts with the puck when hes working up top, a strong willingness to keep working when things arent all that promising and a desire to play stifling defense at the big league level is going to have to sink in firstbut once that happens consistency and an NHL job will be waiting for him.
