BOSTONThe final game before the NHL All-Star break, and many of the players are scattering to the four corners of the world to enjoy a little rest and relaxation over the ensuing three days. But not Tim Thomas, Zdeno Chara and Tyler Seguin. And not CSNNE.com, as well all be down in RaleighDurham for the NHL All-Star Game festivities that will include the fantasy draft, skills challenges and actual game itself on Sunday. The Bruins actually open the season in Carolina on the following Tuesday, so Thomas and Chara will not be required to fly back to Boston after playing in the All-Star game on Sunday. But it looks like the 18-year-old rookie will be flying back to Boston to practice with the Bruins when they get back together on Monday morning. It's tough being the rookie, isnt it?On to the links: An interesting little inside hockey lookfrom legendary hockey scribe Red Fisher about a "Great"story that got away. A few interesting takes from Adrian Dater on the much-chronicled comeback for Peter Forsberg in Colorado. Aaron Ward talks a little hockey with Dale Arnold on 850 WEEI, and gets a good dig in on Phil Kessel without actually identifying him by name. A short video of Shaquille ONeal walking into the Garden for a Celtics game wearing a Bruins goalie mask. Not really a fan of TMZ.com breaking sports news as they have with the Mike Komisarek assault story and this player suing the Anaheim Ducks for anti-semitic remarks, but there it is. Brad Marchand graces The Fourth Periods rookie watch. . . its about time.
