Morning Skate: Never, ever leave a game early

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while amazed at the power of the Patriots Way.

* The St. Louis Blues have lost Robby Fabbri to an ACL injury, so he’s done for the rest of the regular season.

* The Fourth Period columnist Dave Pagnotta says that it’s time for NHL teams to get off their collective butts and start making those deals.

* Is the price for Matt Duchene too costly for a team like the Montreal Canadiens? It sounds like it might be.

* The Ottawa Senators are in good playoff position right now, but the Sens must beware the road through the Atlantic Division.

* Much has been made about the impact of Connor McDavid in Edmonton and rightfully so, but Cam Talbot has been a big factor for the Oil as well.

John Klingberg can be a difference-maker for the Dallas Stars, but the young defender still has a ways to go.

* For something completely different: One of the first things my dad taught me as a sports-loving kid growing up in Boston was to never, ever leave the game early. Sounds like Marky Mark missed a great ending.
