RALEIGHTim Thomas gets the start for the Bruins after earning a day off against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday afternoon, and will be between the pipes for the Bs against the Caroline Hurricanes at the RBC Center.

Thomas is 1-1 with a 1.51 goals against average and .945 save percentage in two games thus far this season, and the 37-year-old has enjoyed a solid start to his follow-up season on the heels of Vezina, Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe glory.

It will also be a homecoming for Joe Corvo, who led all Carolina defensemen with 40 points last season and said that theres a good history for him when playing one of his former teams.

I cant really explain it and I dont know why it is, but I seem to score when Im playing against my old teams, said Joe Corvo. Its not like I feel like I have anything to prove to them for trading me away because Im perfectly happy in Boston. But its just one of those things where I do well in those games.

Tyler Seguin took the warm-up with Nathan Horton and Milan Lucic, and it appears the 19-year-old will get No. 1 center duties with the big dog wingers to start the game. Jordan Caron will skate with Chris Kelly and Benoit Pouliot and the rest of the lineup will remain the same for Boston with David Krejci out of commission.
