The NHL salary cap will rise to 64 million for the 201112 season, according to a report by TSN.
The cap has increased every season since it was first implemented after the lockout. This offseason, teams will be permitted to spend an additional 4.6 million.
The cap increase may help the Bruins retain key pieces of their championship team.
