Seidenberg practices, still day-to-day for Rangers game

WILMINGTON, MADennis Seidenberg made it through Tuesdays full practice with down-low battle drills and plenty of skating, and did so while paired back together with 19-year-old rookie Dougie Hamilton. Those are all signs that the German defenseman is feeling good enough to jump back into the lineup Wednesday night against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

But Claude Julien said that the 31-year-old blueliner is still day-to-day with a lower body injury and the Bruins will make their determination on Wednesday after morning skate in the House that King Henrik Built.

He practiced again today and that gives you can idea that hes pretty close, said Julien, who on Monday said he was "hopeful" that he'd have the defenseman back for the big Eastern Conference tilt in Gotham. Hes still a day-to-day situation.

Seidenberg appeared to injure his leg after colliding with Ryan Callahan in the third period of Saturdays home-opening win over the Blueshirts, but still played a team-high 23:59 of ice time. Seidenberg has also now practiced fully in both days sandwiched around Mondays game against the Jets. If Seidenberg cant go once again on Wednesday, then extra defenseman Aaron Johnson would be back in the lineup after logging 16 plus minutes for Boston on Monday afternoon.
