WILMINGTON – The Bruins are starting to pay the price for the late season intensity of their games as a number of bodies were missing from Wednesday’s practice, and a few more new bodies were shuttled in from Providence.
Austin Czarnik and Seth Griffith are back up practicing with the Bruins at Ristuccia Arena on Wednesday, and John-Michael Liles returned to the fold after missing a couple of games with a lower body injury.
Meanwhile Ryan Spooner, David Krejci, Brett Connolly and Dennis Seidenberg were all missing from main B’s practice as they ready for a two game road swing through St. Louis and Chicago.
Spooner was out for last night’s loss to the New Jersey Devils, Connolly exited the game in the first period with what appeared to be a lower body injury, and both Krejci and Seidenberg might be taking maintenance days at this late juncture of the season.
"There are situations where we don't know if it's tomorrow, or the day after," said Julien about when he expects some of the missing players will return from injury. "I'm not going to go into details about injuries, but there were guys here today from Providence because we've got four guys missing today. We'll see where we go from there."
During practice, Julien loaded up with Loui Eriksson at right wing skating alongside Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron as the Black and Gold look for offense while scoring just 16 goals in their last 10 games.
