Want a chance to golf with Shawn Thornton?

Want to ask Shawn Thornton what it was like to get drilled in the head with a microphone stand courtesy of Mark Wahlberg in the new movie Ted? Ever wanted to golf a couple of holes with No. 22 and get the lowdown on what its like to be an enforcer at the NHL level?
It might just be possible for people beyond those lucky ones that bump into the Quiet Man on the streets of Charlestown.
Thornton and the Bruins Foundation are set to make that happen as they raffle off an open spot in Shawn Thorntons charity golf tournament along with a second open spot for that persons guest. Thornton will be hosting his third annual Putts and Punches for Parkinsons golf tourney at the Ferncroft Country Club on Monday, August 6, but this is the first year the Bruins will hold this promotion.
In addition to the 18 holes of golf, the winner and their guest will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with Thornton and other Bruins-themed guests, and will be invited to attend the post-tournament dinner as well.
All the proceeds from the golf tournament benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the American Parkinson Disease Association. Raffle tickets can be purchased online at www.bruinsraffles.org for 5 per ticket with the net proceeds benefitting the Boston Bruins Foundation. The raffle is open now and will continue through Thursday, August 2, at 5 pm.
