Wednesday Nov. 30: Eichel returns to Sabres

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while thoroughly enjoying this week of crossover episodes for Supergirl, the Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

*PHT writer and FOH (Friend of Haggs) Jason Brough has the Rangers as the NHL’s most valuable franchise according to Forbes Magazine.

*Good piece from CSN’s Jill Sorensen talking to Alex Ovechkin about the emphasis on tip-ins in front of the net.

*Jack Eichel has returned to the Buffalo Sabres, and with that the magic is back with the Sabres franchise.

*Hockey insiders insist that the Calgary Flames are listening on offers for Dougie Hamilton, and today Brian Burke lambasted the rumors, outlined exactly what started the rumors and generally sounded like he was about to challenge somebody to a good, old-fashioned Canadian barn fight.

*The Blue Jackets enjoyed their best November in franchise history, and look to build on it moving forward as one of the surprise teams around the NHL.

*Pittsburgh Penguins GM Jim Rutherford knows that he’s in a tough spot with his goaltending situation, and that isn’t likely to change until he makes a big move.

*Marian Hossa feels like a prime candidate to follow in the ageless footsteps of Jaromir Jagr as he just keeps on chugging with the Blackhawks.

*For something completely different: Felger says that the stats miss the point when it comes to the Patriots defense.
