LOS ANGELESGlen Davis will once again be on the Boston Celtics bench during today's tip-off against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Will he be there all game?

Before today's game, Davis told a group of reporters that the sore right hamstring injury he suffered at Phoenix, was still hurting him.

He went on the court to get some shots up, to see how the hamstring would handle various moves, shifts and pivots on his part.

As he jogged off the court, he spoke briefly to CSNNE.com about his hamstring.

When asked if he was going to play tonight, he said, "I'll give it a try."

Of course, the final decision will be made by the medical staff in conjunction with discussing it with Davis.

Whenever a player goes down, it's to the point where it won't even raise an eyebrow, let alone the concern level, for Celtics head coach Doc Rivers.

"I was for sure (he would play) earlier," Rivers said. "Now, I'm leaning back the other way. We'll see."

Without Davis, who has the ability to play power forward and center for the C's, Rivers will once again have to tap into his bench deeper than he was anticipating needing to do.

"It takes another body off the floor. We've pretty much got accustomed to it," said Rivers, who added that replacing Davis would hinge heavily on who the Lakers had on the floor at the time.
