Looking for some Boston Celtics hoops news during the NBA lockout? Lets take a look overseas, where several of those who have suited up for the Cs are now playing international basketball.
Lets start with fan favorite Brian Scalabrine. No matter how hard he tried to fight it, he couldnt escape the Scal-a-bri-ne chants that echoed through the TD Garden as a member of the Boston Celtics. Now Scal is playing ball for Benetton Treviso in Italy. Hes making news in the United States, and this time it has nothing to do with his last name.
Check out this highlight reel, where Scalabrine is showing off his skills beyond the arc. He ranks second on his team in scoring with 14.0 points per game, including 77.2 FG and 66.7 3PG. University of Connecticut alum Jeff Adrien leads the team with 15.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game, while Celtics 2011 second round draft pick E'Twaun Moore is averaging 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.
Avery Bradley was also in the news shortly after joining Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem. On Monday, Rafael Uehara from the Basketball Post tweeted, "Apparently, Avery Bradley is set to get fired in Israel. Nothing that he did. Played a single game. Team just wants his roster spot." On Tuesday night, Bradley was listed on the team's official website. He also tweeted to Celtics teammate Jeff Green that he was still in Israel. Bradley has appeared in one game for Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem, scoring 7 points (1-6 FG, 1-2 3PG, 2-2 FT).
First Nenad Krstic did the Macarena, then he scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds in his first regular season game with CSKA Moscow. Krstic was one of the first NBA players to signed overseas this summer.
Von Wafer is also in Italy leading Vanoli-Braga Cremona in scoring with 19 points per game. In the first three contests of the regular season, Wafer is shooting 62.5 from the field (and a not-so-noteworthy 9.1 from three-point range), 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
In other reports, Dubi Pick from Eurobasket.com tweeted former Celtic Gerald Green has signed with the Foshan Dralions of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Former Celtic Oliver Lafayette is playing for Asseco Prokom Gdynia this season in Poland. He scored 12 points in their first Euroleague regular season game and is averaging 3.7 points in three VTB United League games.
