C's face a George-less Pacers

Saturday’s Indiana-Boston game will be void of yet another star player with the Pacers announcing that Paul George will be out with a sprained left ankle injury.

Pacers coach Nate McMillan told reporters that the injury occurred during the team’s road loss to the then-winless Philadelphia 76ers. In addition to the ankle, George also has a thumb injury although McMillan said it was the ankle that was the bigger concern.

In addition to George, Boston will be without four-time all-star Al Horford who is still dealing with a concussion suffered on October 31 in practice.

Boston is well-versed on how to play without Horford who has appeared in just three games this season for the Celtics.

For the Pacers, it won’t be that easy.

George is not only the team’s best player, but one of the best in the NBA.

This season, the three-time all-star is averaging a team-best 21.9 points, 3.2 assists and 6.7 rebounds.
