Durant: ‘Tradition of being Boston Celtic is second to none'

BOSTON - Apparently Kevin Durant had even more good things to say about the Boston Celtics aside from his comments on the team, city, and fans at the Thunder's shootaround Wednesday Morning.

Speaking with ESPN for one of their taped interviews during the game, Durant hit that key selling point when it comes to playing for the Boston Celtics: tradition.

"You can feel the tradition walking in here," Durant said. "You see all the [Celtics legends] plastered on the walls as you walk into the locker room. The tradition of being a Boston Celtic is second to none. So it's amazing playing here. The fans, they're very energetic and they cheer for their team. It's amazing to see as a player, to have fans that care about the game so much. It's an amazing sports town and they have a great team to cheer for.”

Here's the video tweeted out by ESPN late Wednesday night:

During Wednesday's game, Celtics fans started a fairly loud "Come to Bos-ton!" chant for Durant. Perhaps there's mutual interest after all?
