The Ball family celebrated in their home with local television cameras capturing their draft lottery viewing party. The Lakers getting the second overall pick would seem to ensure that Ball will play for his hometown team.
“I told him he was going to go to the Lakers,” the father told CBS Los Angeles. "I’m going to speak it into existence. Boston’s going to take their Markelle Fultz. He’s a good player. I think he fits best with Boston. You can’t bring him to L.A.; he ain’t ready for this. Only one person’s ready for this: It’s that Ball boy.
