Last week, The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Celtics are still targeting Chicago’s Jimmy Butler in a trade.
With the NBA Trade Deadline rapidly approaching, Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.com is reporting that one general manager believes the Bulls would accept a "Godfather offer" for Butler.
According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, the Celtics are not willing to part with the Brooklyn Nets' 2017 first-round pick, which could potentially turn into the No. 1 pick in the draft.
Butler, 27, has averaged 24.5 points per game and 6.4 rebounds a night in his sixth NBA season, both are career highs.
